Carrot Cake Mix Recipes Biography
Source(google.com.pk)For a woman who has spent 26 years and 6 months of her 26 years and 7 months of life really disliking carrot cake, I feel qualified to assure you that this cake is the best carrot cake you’ll ever taste. Because I SCARFED it. It reminded me a lot of the Caramel Carrot Cake & Cheesecake Trifle I made for Chris’s birthday last year, which was also incredibly delicious that link has suggestions for a lightened up version, if you’re watching the cals.
This is pretty much your run-of-the-mill BTS cake, but, you know with carrot cake. Which obviously makes it seasonally appropriate for spring and Easter . The topping is a little special: it’s a sweet whipped combo of cream cheese, cool whip, and cool whip frosting. And it’s topped with caramel sauce and chopped pecans, like any decent carrot cake should be!
I think you’ll love this as much as I did! Be warned– make it when you’re expecting a crowd. This stuff goes down the hatch waaaaaaay too easily to make it when you’re home alone!
The 9x13 Carrot Cake recipe of your choice, baked and cooled I used a box mix
14 oz sweetened condensed milk
oz Cool Whip
oz Cool Whip Vanilla Frosting Cream Cheese flavor if your store carries it, mine doesn't
ozhalf a tub of whipped cream cheese must be whipped
Approx. 1/2 cup caramel sundae sauce just pour on as much or as little as you'd like
Approx. 1 cup chopped pecans sprinkle on as much or as little as you'd like
Instructions
Leave the cake in the dish it was baked in-- this is not a free standing cake.
Poke approximately 20-25 holes, spread evenly, over the top of the cake with the bottom of a wooden spoon. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over top, trying to fill the holes as much as possible.
In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to beat together the cool whip, the cool whip frosting, and the whipped cream cheese until smooth. Spread over top of the cake.
Pour the caramel sauce over top of the cake, and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, really overnight is best.
Cut into 12 squares to serve you can cut more, 1/12 is a pretty large piece
Here is my big philosophical reason on beds and cookies…
I like big cookies and I have discovered that I like big beds.
The more the merrier, right?
See, in my mind, cookies are like beds.
The more cookies I have the merrier I am,
and the bigger the bed, more merriment I get from all that space!
Yes, I have strange ways of looking at things.
Last week we spent a week at the beach with my family.
The room we stayed in had a king sized bed.
I am more than ready to upgrade to one that size for my room at home.
You could do “snow angels” and not bump into the other person.
I have to admit something…
I kind of like my own space when I am sleeping.
Now don’t get me wrong, I like to cuddle.
But when it is time to sleep, lots of space is nice
Well, unless it is freezing cold out, then I “steal” my hubby’s body heat.
So that King sized bed wouldn’t be as practical in the middle of winter, I guess.
Want to know something else I like to “steal
Cookies from the kitchen when no one is looking.
It’s a problem, I know!
Lately I have been all about making cake mix cookies,
so making a carrot cake version was bound to happen sooner than later.
I just love how quick and easy they are to make and to eat
A few weeks ago my husband and I went on our church staff retreat.
Guess who was in charge of making sure we had enough sweet stuff to munch on
Silly question to ask, huh? Me of course.
I made these cookies, some fudge, and some Oreo truffles.
These cookies disappeared at an alarming rate.
In fact, I do believe the last cookie got hidden, so it could be enjoyed later.
and no, not by me
The cinnamon and spice really stood out in these,
and the warm rich flavor just made them melt in your mouth.
These cookies have the perfect fall feeling to them.
Caramel, cinnamon, spice…
Yup, I totally can’t wait for fall to get here
1 carrot cake mix
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup Kraft caramel bits
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, butter, eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon. Beat until combined. Stir in the white chips and caramel bits by hand. Chill dough in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Form dough into 36 balls and place on baking sheet. Bake at 350* for 10 minutes. Let cool on pan 2-3 minutes. Gently remove from pan to cooling rack. Cool completely. Store in air tight container.
Notes
Use a metal spatula to remove the cookies from the baking sheet. The caramel will start to stick to the pan if you leave it cool too much. Baking on a Silpat will also help keep them from sticking.
Marion Martignetti, who lives in Hingham, Massachusetts, has been baking this pumpkin bread religiously since her children were in high school. It was the snack she brought to sporting events, and she thanks Marilyn Cheney, a teacher at Milton Academy, for first sharing the recipe. I first tasted this bread in Nashville at Marion’s cousin
I share this recipe in my new cookbook called Save the Day to be published this fall. Do ahead: Bake these ahead of time and freeze covered in foil. Reheat covered at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, or until warmed through. Uncover and glaze. Razzle-dazzle: This one recipe makes two 9-inch pans of rolls. Bake
These brownies are decadent! And they are delicious straight from the pan, especially if brushed with Kahlua while cooling. To turn this recipe into plain brownies, omit the cream cheese layer and bake the batter for 35 to 40 minutes. Or to turn it into Brownie Cookies, omit the cream cheese layer, chill the batter
This is my husband’s favorite cake, easy to assemble any month of the year because it relies on applesauce. Use unsweetened or sweetened – whatever you have on hand. And if you want to dress up the presentation, make a quick glaze whisking together 1 cup confectioners’ sugar and 2 tablespoons milk or lemon juice
What I love about this recipe is that it pulls together quickly from a handful of ingredients. And stored in the fridge, it keeps 10 days to two weeks. Store it in empty clean jelly jars and canning jars. For an easy and decorative topper for those pint-size canning jars, place a paper cupcake liner
Move over applesauce, Greek yogurt is my new favorite baking ingredient. If you are using the optional frosting, bake my chocolate cake in 9-inch layers for 25 to 30 minutes, frost, and you will have a fabulous, fit chocolate cake that embodies a new way to bake. Note: If you are using a cake mix
Cookies made from a cake mix are hugely popular, and this version is no exception. It begins with a box of chocolate cake mix, and ends up with a chewy brownie-like cookie that can be adapted to the season. We add ¼ cup golden raisins to it around the holidays. Because the balls of chocolate batter are
One of the most popular Cake Mix Doctor recipes, Gooey Butter Cake is the signature cake of St. Louis where it was invented in the 1930s. Many variations of this cake exist, both from-scratch and using a cake mix. What makes my version appealing is that it is faster to prepare using a mix. The
Naturally gluten-free, these brownies are so fudgy, chewy, and chocolaty, you’ll never miss the flour. That’s because the cocoa and cornstarch in the recipe give just the right amount of structure to the brownies. The flavor comes from the butter, cocoa, vanilla, and chocolate chips. And the ease comes from making them in one pan
Use very ripe bananas, the blacker the better. You can bake the layers ahead and freeze them, then frost, and serve. For garnish, sprinkle with cinnamon or finely chopped toasted pecans. Buy the Cake Mix Doctor’s Old-Fashioned Yellow Mix here.
